MVEMS provides services to residents and vistors in 33 municpalites in Centre, Clinton and Clearfield Counties.
Our primary coverage area consists of Philipsburg Borough and a large portion of Rush Township in Centre County, Chester Hill Borough, Decatur Township, Boggs Township, Morris Township, Graham Township, Cooper Township, Wallaceton Borough, and a small portion of Bradford Township in Clearfield County. Based off the 2020 Census records, this amounts to nearly 24,000 residents just in our primary coverage area, and an additional 17,000 in our intercept area, for a total of 41,000 residents.
We also provide Paramedic services to multiple surrounding BLS ambulance agencies, such as Mountain Top Fire Co. EMS, Houtzdale-Ramey EMS, Madera EMS, Karthaus EMS, portions of Port Matilda EMS, Snow Shoe EMS and Irvona EMS, and is assisted by fire department based QRS services from Winburne VFC and Pine Glen VFC.
Our primary coverage area, along with our ALS intercept area equates to nearly 800 square miles of coverage area, evenly split between densily populated towns, extremely rural country-side, and major roadways.
Included in our coverage area is Black Moshannon State Park, Interstate 80 between mile-post 127 and 143, State Routes 322 and 350, both of which are arteries connected to metropolitain areas such as State College and Altoona, as well as apartment style complexes, nursing homes, 3 school districts, developments, and multiple industrial and manufacturing facilities.
