Diamondback Truck Covers: Youth Impact Awards "Preparing youth for the adventure of a meaningful life."
MVEMS Education Institute is honored to announce that we have graciously been awarded funds through Diamondback Truck Covers to offer training scholarships for youth in our area. This grant funding is available for anyone ages 16 to 22.
From Diamondback: The mission of the DiamondBack Giving Fund is "Preparing youth for the adventure of a meaningful life". We provide grants and funding to allow youth (ages 10-22) to engage in various types of physical, educational, social, and spiritual activities which will prepare them to become self sufficient individuals who can make a difference in their communities. We focus our efforts on trusted "Guides" who share a passion to educate and impact youth and who will invite youth into real life adventures.

JJ Powell Inc. EMS Certification Funding
Moshannon Valley EMS Education Institute has partnered with JJ Powell Inc. of Philipsburg to offer a scholarship for students within the Philipsburg-Osceola, West Branch, and Moshannon Valley Area School Districts for EMT courses. The purpose of this grant is to allow students to have assistance with tuition when their main goal is to begin a career in the medical field.
The requirements to apply for this scholarship are simple:
- Be a student or recent graduate of one of the 3 school districts listed above, OR, the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center
- Write and submit a 1-2 page essay on why you think you would be a great candidate for this scholarship, and what you plan on using your certification for, including what you plan to study in college or the career path you plan to choose outside of High School.
- Include 3 references with your essay, including names, phone numbers, email address and professions.
- Be at least 16 years of age or older.

Seven Mountains EMS Council Tuition Assistance Program
This program was established using State issued funding. The purpose of this tuition assistance is to assist with the cost of initial certification. The EMS Council will offer tuition assistance to eligible students who are enrolled in a certification program, and must be submitted prior to the course registration.
Any student that requests Tuition Assistance through this program will be to fulfill the following obligations:
- Be 16 years of age
-Reside in or be affiliated with an EMS agency within the Seven Mountains region.
- Register for and complete the certification class identified in the application
- Attempt the practical and cognitive certification exams
AND
- Be a member/employee in good standing with an EMS agency within the Seven Mountains Region, or Obtain an offer of intent to become a member/employee of an EMS agency within the Seven Mountains Region

Tyler Bender EMS Scholarship Fund
This Scholarship was originated by Paramedic Tyler Bender. After recently graduating Paramedic School, Tyler felt compelled to give back to his community by starting a scholarship to encourage others to join the EMS field. This scholarship is dedicated to providing assistance to students aspiring to pursue a career in EMS.
The requirements for this scholarship are as follows:
- Reside in the EMS West Region
- Be registered and accepted into an EMS Course
- Provide proof of affiliation with an EMS agency within the EMS West region.
- Submit an essay answering the following questions: How did you choose EMS as a career field?, Why did you choose the EMS agency you are affiliated with?, Do you have any future goals with EMS?. This essay should be 250-400 words.

PMG PA EMS Scholarship
This scholarship is new to MVEMS and is established using funding directly from PMG PA Corp. Their business has graciously offered to support our education institute in the form of student funding.
In order to qualify for this funding, applicants must:
- Be between the ages of 16 and 22
- Make application and provide 3 references
- Write a short essay on why you wish to be awarded this funding
- *Recommendation from a local emergency services agency. This is not required but is a plus.
